Welcome to “Failing to Success”, this episode features Hemant Varshney, founder of DigiCom, a company that focuses on growth advertising. Our host Chad Kaleky, from Cosmic Design interviews Hemant about his career path and his experiences with entrepreneurship. Hemant explains how he got into growth advertising and how he formed DigiCom. He also talks about some of the failures he encountered while trying to start other businesses, and what he learned from those experiences.
Hemant got into growth advertising by accident. He took on a project to build a website 14 or 15 years ago, and then ran some Google ads. The ads generated a lot of leads, which turned into revenue for the business. Hemant enjoyed tracking the data and analytics, and decided to pursue a career in marketing. This eventually led him to form DigiCom, which provides growth advertising services to companies.
In the podcast, Hemant also talks about some of the challenges he faced while trying to start other businesses. One of the businesses he tried to start was a tutoring application called Tutor Me. He built a site and got a lot of tutors on board, but the business ultimately didn't work out because he needed more cash to get it up and running. He also learned the importance of forecasting expenses, as marketing can be very expensive. Hemant believes that it's important to fail fast and learn from the experience.
Chad Kaleky will act as your host and guide on this journey. A seasoned entrepreneur with a passion for sharing the unvarnished truth behind success, he has walked the same path as many of our guests. Chad brings a unique perspective that bridges the gap between aspirations and reality.
