The Rise of the Vegan Industry: A Conversation with Design Vegan Business Owner Founder Ben Larrew

In this episode of "Failing to Success" with Chad Kaleky and Ben Larrew, the founder of Design Vegan, the conversation revolved around the vegan industry and how Ben got started with his business. Ben's career started as a freelance designer, and as he became more invested in veganism, he decided to use his business acumen to help vegan brands with their marketing. Design Vegan aims to be a creative force behind the business boom of the vegan industry, which has seen an insane amount of growth over the past few years. The industry is projected to double into $19 billion in the next four or five years.

One of the main roadblocks Ben faced was not systematizing his business along the way, including networking and prospecting. However, aligning his passion with what he was working on helped him build a successful business. Ben also discussed his personal journey to veganism, where he desired to not be connected to the suffering in the world. He saw the health benefits of veganism, which helped him to transition into a completely vegan diet. Ben noted that everyone, regardless of their diet, should keep up on their supplements for better health.

The conversation wrapped up with the idea that aligning passion with work can typically result in success. The vegan industry has seen an incredible amount of growth over the past few years, which shows that there is a market for brands that cater to this niche. This is a great lesson for those starting out in business and those looking to pivot to a new niche.
