Wendy explains that she started looking at marketing when she discovered that her clients were struggling on the marketing side. What she found is that there is a gap between the back-end technical knowledge and the front-end marketing tactics, so she looked for a link between the two. Wendy discovered that there are three least common denominators between all marketing campaigns, which are the decision-making process of humans, algorithms that are aligned with that process, and communication channels that are available to communicate with customers.
Wendy and Chad also talk about the use of social media in BOLDCRAFT. They explain how BOLDCRAFT takes a look at the customer decision-making journey, starting with a problem or desire and ending with a decision. Wendy emphasizes that companies should continue servicing their customers even after the purchase, as it's essential to get validation and boost credit by sharing it with others. BOLDCRAFT can help create content based on different levels of customer journeys by looking at what potential customers would be interested in around the subject of the solution that the company is providing.
Wendy shares her experience of simplifying BOLDCRAFT after realizing that the intensive course she created for business owners was too much information for them to absorb. Wendy's entrepreneurial process involved creating a visual representation that can be easily understood by those who don't have time to go into all the deep detail. Wendy emphasizes that the entrepreneurial process is about trying and simplifying until you get the right product. The process of creating BOLDCRAFT took Wendy about a year of reading and research to revolutionize it.
